Players enter as individuals and are paired "highest with lowest" handicap throughout depending on RTO handicap on 6th September 2012. The tournament consists of one Round Robin group (so all pairs play each other) and the top four pairs go through to semi-finals and then a Final. In 2012, all matches will be one first to eight game set including the semi-finals and finals. The pairings for 2012 are as follows:
