Caroline and Jeremy
A lunch to thank Caroline and Jeremy Gilmore - 4th November 2012
On your behalf, several members of your committee were very pleased to be able to take Caroline and Jeremy Gilmore to lunch on Sunday 4th November 2012 as a thank you for all the work they have done over several years in designing, implementing and maintaining our original website. We met at Caroline and Jeremy's lovely home in Sonning and, after some celebratory drinks, adjourned to a delightful venue (recommended by Caroline and Jeremy) for lunch. The choice turned out to be excellent and a wide variety of dishes - including some irresistible, but luckily shareable, puds - provided everyone with delicious food.
We will always be very grateful to Caroline and Jeremy for producing a website for us at a time when the professional expertise they have was essential for the task. They were extremely generous with their time and very patient with our (looking back) incredibly naive and overly demanding requests for facilities and updates. I don't think we ever realised how much time and effort was involved in some of the things for which we asked. At the lunch, we presented them with a token of the LRTA's gratitude in the form of some RHS vouchers. They are keen gardeners and are looking forward to some new plantings in the near future - we hope that some of their new plants will provide pleasant reminders of their association with the LRTA.
A very happy occasion.
